Victor (Eric Braeden) forced Billy (Jason Thompson) to sit under his shadow on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The ‘Moustache’ slithered over to the table where ‘Philly’ was having dinner at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Victor took Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) presence as a sign that ‘Villy’ was over and he was right.
Consequences were expected when Billy and Phyllis were forced to go public this week. Vickie (Amelia Heinle) learned unexpectedly that her ex-husband decided to restart a relationship with her brother’s (Nick, Joshua Morrow) and her step-father’s (Jack, Bergman) ex-wife. The main reason Victor has come to hate Billy is because Victoria loves him. Many fathers have felt similarly about various louts who weren’t deemed good enough for their little girls down through the ages. Yes, Victor, for all his faults, for all his sins and for each and every one of his amoral crimes is actually just like many dads across the world. Braeden has played into that element within this fictional character masterfully in the decades since he and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) brought their children into the world.
Later in the episode Victor returned to the bar stool where he sat aside of Scott (Daniel Hall). Both men were tasting a double shot of top shelf tequila when the ‘Great Man’ told his chosen biographer that the book he wanted written about his life wasn’t going to become a reality.

No explanation was offered. But, viewers were left to wonder if Nikki’s unique and ongoing response to Victor’s latest revelation (that he’d used Chloe, Elizabeth Hendrickson, to frame Adam, Justin Hartley), impacted his choice. Time will tell if this planned tome has actually been trashed and if Scott continues to pursue Victor’s stories of his own accord. Claimed journalists, who are actually undercover agents do things like that.
