The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Victor Isn't A Villain – Hashtag Responds

Victor (Eric Braeden) isn’t a bad guy on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead, a lack of understanding have caused some people to misinterpret his actions.

How easy it is for people to pile on. Victor is this. Victor is that. Victor is the other. And don’t forget that Victor is the cause of all the world’s unrest as well. That’s not the take of open minds. Yes, people who are honest look at themselves, instead of others.

Let’s review the facts. Christian Miller was abandoned by his dad, Albert Miller (played by the late, great George Kennedy). That young man then grew up in an orphanage and learned life’s lessons on his own. The name change to Victor Christian Newman reflected a recognition of his old life and a belief that a new one could be had. Of course, Victor then made himself into a new man.

Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) is revered for her good instincts. She’s the one who recruited Victor to run her business, which is how he established Genoa City as his home and subsequently built his legendary business reputation.
