The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Vickie Turns Into Billy – Lies To His Face

How many times has Vickie (Amelia Heinle) lambasted Billy (Jason Thompson) for lying on ‘The Young and the Restless’? Working off the advice of her misguided mother, Vickie told Billy that Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) Multiple Sclerosis had flared up again. She used that non-truth as a ruse to explain her recent behavior and as the reason why she had to leave an important conversation, the former ‘Villy’ was having at Brash and Sassy.

Who tells their daughter to lie to the father of her children about a serious disease? Why, the high and mighty Nicole Reed Newman. Does the diva desire any tea and truffles as she’s being referenced in this feature? If so, one of her servants, or more than one, must rush to satisfy her thirst and hunger needs. We can’t have the Lady of the Ranch wanting for anything. The world might just collapse.

Billy wanted to be direct with Vickie. He recently began seeing Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) again and felt an obligation to tell his ex-wife about ‘Philly’s’ rebirth. But Vickie heard and old-school telephone ring, took out her massively important piece of technology (the smartphone) and saw that mommy was calling.

As an aside to the audience, why does a phone caller get to jump in front of the line? When speaking to someone face-to-face, there’s no reason to accept any call, text, or message from anyone for any reason. Wait a few minutes and reply, unless one has conditioned her or his brain that an immediate response to all technology howls is paramount.

Vickie ran out the door, managing to tell Billy as she did that they’d talk later. What was implied was that she would allow Billy to talk when it was convenient for her to do so.

They met later at the Chancellor Park cafe, which is another terrific set that Y&R’s outstanding staff designed and built. That’s when Vickie presented Nikki’s lie with a straight face, even looking him in the eye when doing so. That moral crime was committed in order to pacify Billy’s mind. Yes, it was done for his benefit, poor guy.

So Vickie has morphed into Billy, while Nikki has become the ‘Moustache’. Shame on both people. While these two guys (Billy and Victor, Eric Braeden) are hardly ‘Husband of the Year’ material, they don’t deserve to be treated as they are by the women who supposedly love them. These actions don’t represent love, but control. That’s exactly what both ladies have accused their supposed soul mates of doing countless times in the past.
