Later, Dina thinks it’s February and gripes about the house still being decorated for Christmas. Jack also does a business-related video chat, but Dina interrupts. She believes Jack’s talking to Traci (Beth Maitland), so he has to stop and get rid of her. When Jack tries to resume his conversation, the person he was talking to has already bailed.
Meanwhile, Ashley urges Gloria (Judith Chapman) to help Jack out with Dina. Gloria balks at the idea, but eventually decides she might be willing to do it if a raise is involved. Back in the Abbott home, Gloria and Dina immediately clash. Jack apologizes to Gloria as he leads her toward the door.

Once Jack turns his attention to Dina again, she rants about how John (Jerry Douglas) was disappointed in him. Ashley shows up and contends that Jabot isn’t making any real progress. Jack determines that he has to take action. He wants to make a splash right away.
At Sharon’s (Sharon Case), place, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is cold toward Scott (Daniel Hall). He’s confused, but Sharon brushes it off. She points out that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) went through a similar situation when they started living together. Scott meets up with Mariah (Camryn Grimes) a little later. He wants to know what to get Sharon for Christmas.
Mariah hints that Sharon probably wouldn’t reject an engagement ring. Scott’s not prepared to take that step yet, but suggests he may be in the near future. Back at home, Faith’s icy all evening. Mariah tries to figure out what’s bothering her sister, but she doesn’t have any luck. Sharon and Scott say “I love you” to each other at the end of the night, but Faith clearly isn’t happy about their romance.

At Newman Enterprises, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) fears the company could be in big trouble over the account anomaly. Victor (Eric Braeden) promises everything’s legit. At Top of the Tower, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) shares some info with Kevin (Greg Rikaart). He notes that Victor’s personal account is the suspected problem. Michael hints that he could use some help, but Kevin’s not interested.
Afterward, Kevin calls someone and warns it won’t be long until Victor finds out what he or she did. Michael heads back to Newman and announces that the authorities are sending someone to investigate the anomaly. When J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) walks in to assist with the case, Victoria and Victor are taken aback.
