The Young and the Restless Spoilers Thursday, December 28: Nick Catches Scott & Abby Kissing – Jill Sets A Trap – JT Staying in GC

“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Thursday, December 28, tease that Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) will get a stern lecture from his parents. At home, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and J.T. (Thad Luckinbell) have a big problem with Reed’s recent arrest. He downplays everything, but still gets a visit from Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). She doesn’t want Reed heading down the same drunken path she went down.

J.T. Staying in Genoa City

J.T. decides it’d be best if he stayed in Genoa City. That way he can guide rebellious Reed a bit. Later, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki welcome their guests at the ranch. They get started on the vow renewal ceremony and things get surprising emotional. Nikki and Victor share some sweet promises with each other during the romantic event.

Scott and Abby Steamy Kiss

Afterward, Scott (Daniel Hall) corners Abby (Melissa Ordway) in another room. They hope 2018 is going to be a great year. As they indulge in another steamy kiss, Nick (Joshua Morrow) waltzes in and sees them. He fumes as he heads out undetected.

Across town, Cane (Daniel Goddard) urges Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to attend Jill’s (Jess Walton) New Year’s Eve bash. Hilary accepts the invitation, but Jill manages to talk her out of it. She has a plan in mind and it involves a “Lane” reunion.

Jill and Esther Set Cane and Lily Up

Devon (Bryton James) knows what’s up, so he declines Lily’s invite as well. Cane and Lily eventually end up at the mansion alone. It slowly dawns on them that nobody else is coming. They feel a bit silly for falling into a trap, but they try to have a nice time anyway. After some drinking and dancing, they hug at midnight. Jill and Esther (Kate Linder) spy on them nearby. They look dissatisfied since there was no lip lock to cap off the evening.

Devon and Hilary Spend New Years Eve Together

Meanwhile, Devon catches up with Hilary and they discuss Sam. It’s clear that Hilary has baby fever, but she dodges Devon’s questions. Instead of chatting about her ticking biological clock, they shift their focus to the New Year’s Eve countdown. At midnight, Devon gives Hilary a loving look as he wishes her a happy new year. They end the night without the kiss they’re both probably dreaming of.
