The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tessa Positioned For Growth – Nikki Considering Jack Again

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) demonstrated her loyalty to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) again on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Despite some misgivings, Tessa remains Mrs. Newman’s closest confidant. That connection should enable one of Genoa City’s newest residents to thrive longterm, but Miss Porter might be asked to walk across some tightropes as well.

Fairbanks addition to the cast this year has been welcomed. She’s playing a delightfully quirky character who isn’t similar to any other persona who’s currently on Y&R’s cast roster. Nikki’s discovery of Tessa outside of Crimson Lights instantly alerted tenured viewers that this young lady was going to quickly become a go-to GC resident.

Prior to the benefit concert Nikki was seen using ice packs on her aching hands. A Multiple Sclerosis flare-up created unbearable pain, which didn’t actually go away during her subsequent performance. Tessa explained the odd image away as a remedy she’d used in the past. That type of quick-thinking is exactly the type of cover Nikki needs applied at times within her complex life.

While ‘Niktor’ did smooth over differences after Nikki’s successful piano solo, the reigning Y&R diva later kissed Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Nothing could push Victor’s (Eric Braeden) emotional buttons harder than word of that connection being reestablished. He loathes ‘Jackie-boy’ and would rightfully see any renewed spark between Nikki and that enemy as an unforgiveable betrayal.

Tessa’s role as Nikki’s protege will become far more challenging if ‘Nack’ revives. It’s been awhile since Nikki and Jack were committed to each other romantically. They appear to be a long way from actually making that happen. But viewers have noticed that this duo has been growing closer for awhile.

Jack recently told Gloria (Judith Chapman) that their arrangement was over and he has no other known love interests. So he surely could be open to reigniting a relationship with his former (and future?) wife. Plus, doing so would stick it to Victor as both halves of ‘Nack’ know.
