The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tessa Has Mariah’s Back – Song Titles Wink At Fans

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) handled Hilary (Mishael Morgan) brilliantly on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After seeing Mariah (Camryn Grimes) verbally batting with her boss, Y&R’s newest singer suggested some familiar mashup titles that could be used for a new song she was inspired to write about love.

Either ‘Mevon’ or ‘Deviah’ could become a popular download. At least that’s what Tessa wants Hilary to think. What began as a joke could always become reality. But in all likelihood, Tessa isn’t going to write a song about Mariah and Devon’s relationship. Savvy fans appreciate the dialogue wink at them, as social media was the source of the nicknames Tessa created.

As readers know, Mariah and Tessa have become fast friends. Y&R smartly paired this duo shortly after Fairbanks’ character arrived in Genoa City. Their link makes sense, as Tessa began dating Mariah’s brother Noah (Robert Adamson) and also needed a confidant.

Mariah had her mom’s (Sharon, Sharon Case) support, but no real buddies. That’s why Tessa’s friendship has and will continue to allow Miss Copeland to grow.

Of course Grimes has transitioned from being, arguably Y&R’s greatest child actor to becoming Cassie’s twin sister. Starkly different than her deceased sibling, Mariah’s personality has softened significantly as she became more trusting during the past few years.

Grimes work in this effort has been outstanding. She’s taken the scripts and injected her deep talent into them.

Tessa’s quirky, but genuine nature, pleasing voice (either in song, or regular dialogue), pretty smile and unique place among Genoa City’s residents makes Fairbanks’ addition to the cast earlier this year a home run. Plus, there’s plenty of room for her character to grow.

Mariah still fronts a tough skin, but needs backup where Hilary is concerned. These ladies are only working together because Devon (Bryton James) insisted that Mariah’s job be protected for one year in the GC Buzz’ sale contract.Doing so prevented Hilary from almost certainly firing Devon’s girlfriend the moment he was gone.
