‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Steve Burton Exit Just Beginning – Dylan McAvoy’s Final Scenes Promise To Shock Y&R Fans

Buckle your seatbelts, “The Young and the Restless,” fans, Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) outrageous exit storyline has launched and it’s going to get wilder in the days to come!

Good cop Dylan will be gone from Genoa City, and his wife Sharon’s (Sharon Case) grip, by February (oh no, what will Sharon do for Valentine’s Day?). This sizzling storyline his stunned some loyal Dylan fans, but it looks like his Miami vice story has just begun!

Dylan has shocked viewers with the lengths he’s going to in order to bring down a drug lord. Dressing like an oily con man and cavorting with the kingpin’s scantily clad Number Two is sooo out of character for the family man!

Burton’s performance as Derek, Dylan’s black swan, is mesmerizing and social media is blowing up with compliments for both Burton and Case. For his part Burton has tweeted that the scenes have been incredible and enjoyable.

But the soap’s executive producer Mal Young reveals that viewers have more in store as the story progresses. In an interview with Soaps in Depth, he promised that Burton and Case bring it in the scenes leading up to Burton’s departure.

“Our writers have an exciting story planned that showcases the talents of both Steve and Sharon…” he teased.

So will Y&R viewers, and Sharon, really have to find a way to go on without their beloved Dylan? The Emmy award winning Burton has spent decades on daytime television, beginning with his role as baby-faced wannabe doctor turned hitman Jason Morgan on, “General Hospital.”

No doubt he’s earned a well-deserved break from the rigors of daytime TV. But he could he quit his loyal fan base forever?

Ever since his departure was announced, Burton’s fans have inundated the star with questions about a possible comeback. His response? “Never say never, friends!”
