Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) came to the cottage on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After having a touching conversation with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about Sharon (Sharon Case), she decided to apologize to her mother. Nick (Joshua Morrow) sat behind them, as ‘Shick’ fans and non-fans wondered about the immediate future.
Here’s the straight soapy truth – Sage (Kelly Sullivan) is gone, so Nick’s an available widow. Dylan (Steve Burton) opted to enter the Witness Protection Program in order to hopefully keep his family indefinitely. As a result his marriage to Sharon has effectively ended. Both factors enable a conversation about ‘Shick’ to therefore continue.

Now the term ‘conversation’ is generally spouted by entitled minds. Walking onto whatever higher moral ground they believe they stand on, such personalities don’t actually intend to talk with people, as that also involves listening. Instead, these people deem themselves to be experts on whatever topic is introduced and basically want perceived inferior minds to acknowledge that they must adhere to whatever immeasurable and generous guidance is being offered. Yeah, right.
It’s a subjective choice to be a Sharon fan or a Nick devotee. A case can be made to tag either person as most responsible for the other’s failings, or for both sides to be labeled with equal fault marks. Plot points dating back to the mid-1990’s can be offered to the court of public opinion that argue for ‘Shick’s’ needed revival, or continued separation.

As readers see, this scribe has offered no complete indication of whether he thinks this couple should reform, or not. There is evidence that either option might work. However, he is willing to listen to what seasoned viewers and newer fans think because their opinions all matter equally. Plus, that would represent a form of conversation, though digital in nature.
Faith’s interest is of utmost importance with whatever decision her parents may make. These are her parents and ideally, they would be together as long as that family unit proves functional.
