Y&R sources say her holidays will not interfere with her on-screen time at all. Viewers of the CBS sudser have been told this is all possible in the way the soap opera is shot. Fans of the newly forming couple will continue to enjoy her working at Crimson Lights while flirting with the gorgeous journalist.

Sharon Case has been quite excited about her trip including stops in places like Paris, France and the Mediterranean Islands, and who wouldn’t be with all the incredible sights to take in overseas?

The Y&R’s powers that be even joke at how often Sharon’s character has traveled too; including her 2008 visit to Paris where she kissed Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Or her escape from Genoa City, after kissing Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), to Denver where she had an illicit affair with Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). Or her love for Sam Gibson (Sean Patrick Flanery) while she was once again on the run from the law, hiding out in Mexico.

For The Young and the Restless fans of budding couple, Scott and Sharon, maybe it’s a good thing she isn’t going to be off-screen or evading something she has done as it seems every time she leaves town she ends up in the arms of a stranger and in desperate need of help and companionship.

Scott Grainger seems to be a good and stable man for Sharon, who has been through some tumultuous relationships; someone who is kind and decent to her in spite of her flaws. It will be nice to see this friendship develop into something more.
