Scott (Daniel Hall) met with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) at the Ranch on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He was curious about her request, even more so after learning that Victor (Eric Braeden) suddenly left Genoa City without informing his handpicked biographer. Then Nikki asked him to do something that didn’t make sense.

Nikki wanted Scott to abandon the biography agreement. She wrote a check that was worth more than Victor offered and encouraged him to leave town so he could pursue other stories. Scott rejected that monied plea.

In her heart Nikki still not only loves Victor, she’s also protecting him. Yes, she told Scott that the world can’t know the true story of the ‘Great Man’s’ life because it would destroy the Newman family. But in reality she’s protecting Victor from himself.
Mr. Grainger became a respected reporter in recent years. Victor’s willingness to put up $10 million ransom to save his life naturally created a debt of gratitude. The bond that now exists between these two men will be tested in coming months as Scott uncovers Victor’s complex backstory.
Meanwhile Jack (Peter Bergman) has rediscovered his inner vengeance. After doing so he initially attempt to recruit Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), but that effort seems to have failed. Depending upon what develops between her and Billy (Jason Thompson), Jack’s hopes for that partner could be revisited.
However, Jack was directed to Scott by Nikki the other day. That connection should prove to be dynamic, as Jack easily tops all other non-family foes combined where his hatred of Victor is concerned. And he knows where some of the ‘Moustache’s’ bodies are buried.

It seems inevitable that Scott will either be alienated or come to feel manipulated by Victor. Of course both could happen as well. When either line is crossed, ‘Smilin’ Jackie-boy’ will be more than willing to assist Scott in telling the real story. Victor will never allow any truly damning information to be published in his own tome, regardless of the lip service he gave to transparency. Yet Y&R fans must believe that at least some of this story will become available to the public somehow. Keep on buzzin’ GC.
