Segundo, Victor’s (Eric Braeden) dog, might be tapped to play the latest dual role on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That privileged mutt would become Scooby-Doo, as Sharon (Sharon Case), Scott (Daniel Hall), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) morph into the other classic Saturday morning cartoon characters. That’s what is felt like when the Scooby-Doo gang foolishly left Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) alone and she escaped.

The brainstorm for this old-school animated reference article first linked Scott’s unkempt hair to Shaggy, of course. Sharon is Velma.

Y&R Star Sharon Case News And Updates
The idea that Nick would find Crystal in The Underground’s alley was a stretch. But okay. That scene allowed the next part of this evolving storyline, that initially only involved Scott to advance.
This author said, “Ruh roh”, which is an homage to Scooby’s dog-talk version of “Uh oh” when he saw Nick, Chelsea and Sharon each leave Crystal unattended in the nightclub’s office. All viewers instantly knew that was a dumb thing to do in all three instances. As expected, Crystal bolted by episode’s end.
When Sharon began working at the Crisis Hotline Center, which appears to be located in Paul’s (Doug Davidson) Genoa City Police Department, devoted viewers knew something was coming. Then Case’s ascending character took Crystal’s first call.
The draw back to Scott can be made now that Sharon and the audience learned Crystal is entangled in some type of pay-for-play ring. Fans recall that Christine (Lauralee Bell), who was another version of Daphne years ago, offered an undercover government assignment to Scott months ago. He declined at the time. Yes, both plot points appear to be linked.

During the decade that Y&R first appeared, Scooby-Doo and his pals were solving minimal mysteries as amused cherubs ate sugary cereals bathed in real milk (from cows). No, there is no direct connection between those moving illustrations and this soap’s new arc. But sometimes comical deflections allow serious topics to be avoided, instead of addressed. Sadly, Crystal doesn’t have that luxury.
