The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Ravi Threatened By Ben – Is ‘Rashley’ Happening?

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) is considering Ravi (Abhi Sinha) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She’s doing so on her own terms and despite what those around her have been saying. That’s why Benjamin Hochman’s (Ben Hermes) reappearance in Genoa City understandably bothers Ravi.

While pitching the possibility of ‘Rashley’, Mr. Shapur recently told Ashley that she’s always opted for the same type of man. The results of her choices haven’t been good. Ben fits her pattern, which is why Ravi is concerned that Ashley will ditch him.

A memory refresher finds that Mr. Hochman is one of the two businessman Gloria (Judith Chapman) helped to dissuade from becoming Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) silent partner in Fenmore’s. The results of that success sabotage allowed Jack to gain a 49 percent stake in the company, which is less than he wanted but still worthwhile.

Incorporating someone with Ravi’s computer skills into Jabot has directly impacted Jabot’s bottom line. Jack (Peter Bergman) recently informed Ravi about the profit uptick that is directly attributed to the efforts he’s making. So everything is flowing smoothly, as far as business is concerned.

Jack also had a pointed one-on-one conversation with his sister. He told her that any romantic moves she makes toward Ravi will likely backfire on Jabot. Jack believes that if his sister pursues a romantic relationship with him and it goes south, Jabot’s unique business asset would be permanently damaged.

That’s the difference between Jack’s involvement with Gloria and Ashley’s link to Ravi. So if Ashley pairs with Ben, she’ll be reverting to her preferred type but would also avoiding any potential Jabot conflict. Of course the heart doesn’t pursue logic.

Y&R fans know that Ashley’s choices aren’t actually so stark, despite what Jack thinks. Obviously no one can knows what would happen if ‘Rashley’ develops into a real couple. But Ravi’s seeming lack of relationship experience does factor into this equation, thereby making her brother’s prediction something Ashley should consider very carefully.
