The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Prince Nicholas Disrespects Victor – Sonny Boy is Ungrateful

‘Prince Nicholas’ (Joshua Morrow) bad-mouthed his father ‘The Young and the Restless’. Another in a series of disrespectful mouth-offs, Morrow’s character recently showed his persistent ugly side inside the Ranch House. Victor Eric Braeden) has done many questionable and outright dishonest things in his life. But he doesn’t deserve to have his son treat him like an unjailed criminal (even though he is one).

Saying that Nick’s words are correct isn’t the point. Any tenured viewer can cite countless script pages as proof that Victor is nothing more than a manipulator. He uses the capitalistic system to his advantage and then buys those who are elected democratically. But Nick wasn’t, isn’t and never will be Victor’s moral judge.

In this latest go-round, Nick is angry at his dad because of the circumstances surrounding Adam’s (Justin Hartley) apparent death. He feels that Victor has forced Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and him to cover his involvement in Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) seeming crime.

Nick also believes that Victor is responsible for Chloe’s death. Viewers know that Chloe is alive and well in Louisiana. So Nick’s feeling in that regard is way off-base.

Sonny boy has lived like a prince his entire life, whereas Victor’s childhood was incredibly hard. Pre-moustache experiences at the orphanage shaped and continues to shape Victor’s world view. Nick knows that and should therefore always offer his dad infinite slack.

As far as how Victor treats Nikki, there’s a clear question that must be asked. Who was it that abandoned Sharon (Sharon Case) after her daughter Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died? Was that Victor? No, that was you sonny boy.

Nick should keep his snout out of his parent’s relationship. All people who have ever been involved in a pairing understand that they and only they are the experts on all internal dynamics.

Keep raising your kids Nick. Make ‘Chick’ work and keep The Underground going. Victor is your father, so treat him with respect. Act like a man instead of a petulant little boy.
