‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis In Contact With Ravi – Jack Should Take Ashley’s Advice

A battle is underway between Jabot and Fenmore’s on ‘The Young and the Restless’. First, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) recruited Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). Now, Phyllis is attempting to lure Ravi (Abhi Sinha) away from her former husband’s company. If she succeeds an all out war will surely ensue.

Lauren is fighting Jack on a few fronts. Her defensive strategy involves initially resisting his offer to invest in Fenmore’s. Of course, the term ‘invest’ in this instance actually means Jack (Peter Bergman) wanting to take control over Lauren’s family business because he knows it’s in a vulnerable financial position. Offensively, Lauren has already hired a key Jabot player in Phyllis and might strike twice if Ravi can somehow be convinced to leave the alluring Ashley (Eileen Davidson) behind.

Ashley knows that Ravi has a major crush on her. That emotional point almost certainly rules out him being persuaded to submit his voluntary resignation. But Ravi’s skills as a software engineer are very valuable. So if the right professional situation is presented to him, Jabot could find itself minus two key employees.

Jack was convinced by Gloria (Judith Chapman), of all people, that she can somehow engineer a deal where Lauren has to accept Jack’s takeover offer. In return Gloria wants a meaningful position in the combined company. It seems hard to imagine that these past personal combatants would work together, yet that’s already started to happen.

Ashley previously told Jack not to do business with Gloria. This week she also advised her brother to recognize Ravi’s value. An enhanced position and a raise were recommended as measures to ensure his continued professional allegiance.

Ravi’s importance is tied to Jabot’s interactive application. The instant popularity of this internet-based tool has helped to drive profits upward and give the company an edge over the competition.

Phyllis was specifically hired to help Fenmore’s quickly update it’s online presence, which now includes virtual experiences. This last point loops Y&R fans back to Ravi, who’s background is seen as vital for his current employer, Jabot.
