The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis and Billy Romance Threatened – Victoria Making Gains

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) knows that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is hyper competitive on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That factor makes her a clear threat to the future of ‘Philly’, even if Billy (Jason Thompson) doesn’t realize it.

Vickie’s genetic makeup includes the ‘Moustache’ (Eric Braeden). So she’s conditioned to fight for what she wants, or believes she deserves. In this instance Vickie wants Billy back and is playing the long game to get him. However, her own worsening health issue may override the need to play romantic games.

Billy is currently with Phyllis. However, he’s continued to work for Vickie at Brash and Sassy. That keeps this multiple time married couple, who also have children in constant contact with each other. Said reality may be too much for Phyllis to overcome.

Jill (Jess Walton) acted wisely awhile back. After taking control of what was once Newman’s new cosmetics division, she hired Vickie, Billy and Cane (Daniel Goddard) to run the revamped ship.

The choice of Vickie made sense because she led Newman’s division from the jump. Billy had plenty of business experience, but more importantly was the father of Vickie’s daughter. Cane, well he’s another topic for another story.

Walton’s character rightly projected that Billy and Vickie would revisit each other’s good qualities by spending time with each other. That happened, they almost reunited, but Vickie pushed Billy away.

Billy’s subsequent pairing with Phyllis wasn’t a surprise, as both characters had grown close to each other. That surprising romantic connection initially developed because Billy (then played by Burgess Jenkins) was available and because of how Jack (Peter Bergman) responded to the Marco (also Bergman) matter.

Phyllis doesn’t know that Vickie is enduring some type of lingering health issue as a result of falling on her head earlier this year. Billy’s concern for Vickie will grow as this plot point plays out. That should likely loosen Phyllis’ weakening grip on who she thinks is her man.
