The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Phyllis And Billy Reunite – Y&R Fans Polarized By Couple

So Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Billy (Jason Thompson) reconnected on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Some fans are outraged, while others are intrigued. Will this controversial couple publicly announce that they’ve formed and then endure if they do?

Okay, outraged doesn’t accurately describe what most anti-‘Philly’ fans are feeling. That cheeky bit of humor was a wink at various individuals who claim to be upset about everything, purely to draw attention to themselves and their ’cause(s)’. Therefore, let’s adjust the wording. Y&R fans who don’t like the idea of Phyllis and Billy ever paired and apparently are getting back together now are a bit miffed.

Michelle Stafford and Billy Miller never would have connected during their run as Phyllis and Billy respectively. But the show isn’t running in that time span. Instead, Y&R’s current writing staff (as headed by Sally Sussman) has chosen to further the idea that Chuck Pratt, Junior’s team created.

Until recently it appeared as though Billy was definitely going to reunite with Vickie (Amelia Heinle). That might have been a head-fake. However, Miss Newman is now chasing Mr. Abbott. That cogent fact, along with the interaction they’ll continue to have due to their children makes ‘Villy’ an option that can’t be fully counted out, ever.

Tognoni and Thompson do have chemistry, making expressed feelings about the Stafford and Miller era sound like overheard conversations members of older generations have about the price of cheese at a deli counter. That portion of the audience will be forced to adjust as Phyllis and Billy enjoy some Muenster bites at Summer’s (Hunter King) condo moving forward.

Meanwhile the pro-‘Philly’ contingent sees potential. Agitating Jack (Peter Bergman) has its perks. Vickie will no longer has Billy at her command. Other general reactions in this fictional Wisconsin town are also sure to be forthcoming as these two single adults simply explore a shared attraction, which is natural. However, odds that ‘Philly’ will endure long-term still aren’t seen as good by most Y&R fans.
