The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Warns Jack – Vickie and Billy Playing Dirty

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) issued a warning to Jack (Peter Bergman) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She advised her on-again boyfriend that their friendship will immediately end if she ever learns that he’s trying to amorally undermine Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) business. Nikki’s declaration brought a wry smile to viewers faces because they know what Vickie is up to.

Vickie told Billy (Jason Thompson) that it was okay to play dirty as Brash and Sassy tries to fight off Jabot. ‘Billy-boy’ was happy to dive into the muck when he took advantage of Dina’s (Marla Adams) kindness. He entered her Genoa City Athletic Club suite, waited until Madame Mergeron left the room, opened her Jabot-issued laptop and snapped a photo of a sticky note that contained her corporate password.

After Dina returned, Billy reapplied his fake smile and projected John’s (Jerry Douglas) persona. Billy, not Jack, used his father’s memory to manipulate Dina.

By the way, could ‘Villy’ play the high school sweetheart game a little more? Their act is tired. Once upon a time this scribe wished, along with other viewers, that they’d get back together. They’re one of those self-involved duos that make most observer’s eyes roll. Those who don’t are fellow schmoopy’s.

So Jack is trying to edge a competitor out. Yes, that is capitalism. The same system that, when balanced by subjectively reasonable government oversight enables the existence of a middle class. Anyone who denies that provable fact should provide deep evidence of another democratically connected process that allows the Genoa City’s of the world to exist anywhere else in the world.

Along with the above, savvy viewers know that Nikki is right to be leery of Jack’s motives. His brief partnership with Benjamin (Ben Hermes) was shady and the recent request he made to Lauren (Tracey Bregman), if it had been accepted, would have hurt Brash and Sassy.

It will be interesting to see if ‘Villy’s’ espionage is exposed and how Nikki reacts after Jack likely rushes to tell her the news. Whether ‘Nack’, or ‘Jikki’ if one prefers, actually makes it to couple status is another topic that deserves to be addressed on another digital day.
