The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nikki Starting To Melt – Victor Makes Progress With True Love

Victor (Eric Braeden) never doubted that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) loved him on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The current rift between ‘Niktor’ involves a different type of betrayal. While the ‘Moustache’ doesn’t know how long it will take to win back his wife’s love, he’s making progress.

Opting to cancel his intended biography was a solid decision. By doing so Victor showed Nikki that he not only heard her advice, but followed through on it.

Grand gestures have long been part of Victor’s mystique. That’s why donating a large sum of money for a Multiple Sclerosis research facility, and having it named in Nikki’s honor played into a pattern that’s been seen by tenured viewers before.

This week Victor told Scott (Daniel Hall) that he had a new assignment for him. The new vice president in charge of special projects was tasked with helping to arrange a special concert that will feature Mrs. Newman playing piano at center stage.

Meeting with a Dean, Nikki and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) in his office, Victor presented a musical overture to his one and only. While Nikki was initially irked, it was clear to viewers that she also began to melt. Yes, Victor’s persistence is having an effect on her heart.

Y&R is presenting a fresh twist on the enduring ‘Niktor’ romance. A smart choice was made by not writing its lead couple to divorce, or a wide separation. While Nikki booted Victor to the guest house, she didn’t actually push him out of her life.

It’s true that Nikki convinced Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) to give their father the cold shoulder. But all involved parties seem momentarily bothered by Victor’s revealed actions involving Adam, rather than having chosen to completely cut him out of their lives.

Redemption with this particular character is necessary. Along with the nature of the soapy beast that is Genoa City, the Newman family yin-yang is paramount. Perceived monumental divisions, followed by rapprochements are standard.

That’s why Nikki and Victor will be together again. As Y&R fans know, the fun is in watching how that reunion will play out this time.
