Mrs. Victor Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has dived off the deep end (again) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. According to Prince Nicholas (Joshua Morrow), his queenly mother’s name is actually Nicole Reed I. Princess Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is also on board (the yacht) with her brother’s assessment and, like him is encouraging her mother to abandon Victor when he’s in need of his so-called family’s help.
This ungrateful lot really has a lot of nerve. The prince and princess have lived above the masses purely because of their father’s success. Has Nick forgotten that his dad made the Sandy Allen, later known as Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush), situation go away, or that, more recently, he offered a safe haven for Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) when ‘Shick’ was at each other’s throats for the umpteenth time?

As for the original Miss Reed (or would that be Miss Bayou?), her selective outrage coincides with whatever supposed wrong has been done to her by the ‘Black Knight’. Nikki then conveniently forgets that she’s far from a saint!
Yes, Victor has veered off life’s path now and then. Well, it’s been more than that actually. Yet he’s always managed to steady the Newman ship and return to normalcy.
Abandoned by his viciously cruel father, the dastardly Albert Miller (George Kennedy), Victor’s mother felt compelled to put him and his brother into an orphanage. That event doesn’t override all the genuinely bad things Victor has done through the years, but it provides a point of reference. Nikki, more than anyone in Genoa City should realize that Victor simply gets in front of himself.
Victor benefits when Nikki challenges him, as that helps to reset his internal compass. He needs her equally as much as she needs hi and neither party denies their soul mate status when pressed.

Braeden may have been on a tour promoting his autobiography (‘I’ll Be Damned’) when Victor’s current vacation from Wisconsin occurred. Whenever Victor returns, his problems won’t be easily resolved. But eventually ‘Niktor’ and Newman family fans are hoping to see peace again.
