The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Works With Sharon Again – Trust Restored, Reunion In The Works?

Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) share a deep history on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Their relationship record bridges the gap from great to bad and back again. However, as of this spring they’ve come to trust each other again.

Their mishandling of Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) last year led to a mutual reexamining of how each person was interacting with the other. Honest measures were taken to address outstanding emotions and both parties are now good. That’s one reason why Sharon was recently taken into Nick’s confidence regarding his investigation into Adam’s (Justin Hartley) apparent accidental death.

But what about ‘Shick’? Is it realistic to believe that this one-time mega super couple will be reuniting in the near future? Facts and opinions can be explored at this time.

Y&R viewers, this particular issue isn’t about whether one contingent or the other wants to see them back together. Those opinions are always okay to offer, as daytime devotees are passionate fans. This piece centers on a question. Are Sharon and Nick going to reunite anytime soon?

Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) death made Nick a widower. Dylan’s (Steve Burton) entrance into the Witness Protection Program made Sharon a faux divorcee. Both situations were vastly different, but resulted in each person being free to pursue romantic interests.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) took her time, but she’s clearly committed to Nick. Despite her recent blow up with him about Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), she seems to be genuinely falling in love with Adam’s brother. Nick also appears to believe that Chelsea is his future.

Sharon isn’t looking for a relationship. Whether she grows into one with Scott (Daniel Hall) remains to be seen. However, that possibility is open because Hall’s character is new in town and isn’t married or involved. He also has been written into the Crimson Lights’ setting on a number of occasions, which likely isn’t an accident.

So, as of now it seems as though Sharon and Nick aren’t moving back to ‘Shickland’ and have no plans to do so. They’ve reached an amicable spot and are simply interacting as ex-spouses with two children should. As for the more distant future, anything is possible because this is soap.
