The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Plants Tracking Device – Chloe Caught Discarding Evidence

Nick (Joshua Morrow) told Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that he was pressing ahead on his vigilante investigation of Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After turning tables on the unjailed criminal by planting a tracking device in the passenger side rear wheel well of her vehicle, Nick then saw Chloe commit a foolish act in broad daylight.

What type of person disposes of evidence in public? Well, in this instance, Chloe did just that because she thinks she’s in the clear. In her mind, she just rid herself of the only pieces of damning evidence. However, Nick’s concealed presence allowed him to see Chloe’s actions and then respond immediately.

After she left, Nick went to the dumpster where Miss Mitchell discarded her duffel bag. He reached through trash and garbage to retrieve it. Then, Nick took it back to The Underground where he examined its contents with rubber gloves on. Smart move, though he did leave fingerprints on Chloe’s car earlier in the episode.

Nick was puzzled when he found the dart gun and related paraphernalia that Chloe used to shoot Adam (Justin Hartley) last September. But he was mortified when he reached deeply into the duffel bag and pulled out a metal wrench. Was that the tool she used to loosen a propane tank line which caused the cabin explosion?

Chelsea has been understandably upset ever since Nick told her about the tracking device he found in Connor’s (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) toy dinosaur. Then, after having Chloe’s smartphone history traced, Nick learned that she was within close proximity to the cabin approximately one-half hour before the explosion happened. That digital information countered Chloe’s statement about having never left the penthouse on that fateful night.

Thankfully for Chelsea and Adam, whether he’s still alive or not, Nick is persistent. Sharon’s (Sharon Case) subsequent advice, that he speak with Paul (Doug Davidson) is wise. Whatever choice Nick makes next will affect lives in varying ways. But that’s why Y&R fans love this soap.
