Victor (Eric Braeden) doesn’t suffer fools lightly on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead, he targets them for severe and often, demented disciplinary tactics. That’s why Nick (Joshua Morrow) should be deeply concerned. The soda board incident proved to be the straw that broke the ‘Moustache’s’ back.
Viewers must be wondering if Nick will be booted from the tack house. He’s lived there, off and on, for years after killing ‘Shick’ via Phyllis (then played by Michelle Stafford). The property sits on the Newman Ranch grounds and Victor has renounced his blood ties. So Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) may have two new roommates soon.
Interestingly, Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) would actually be moving in with his brother. Adam’s (Justin Hartley) widow and Victor are the only known living creatures who know that truth, however.

After Adam’s death Victor felt it best that he and Chelsea protect Nick’s feelings. Then, when Sully was revealed as having always been Christian, Victor and Chelsea conferred again. Again, it was decided that they’d keep this secret.
Nick remains clueless about Christian’s true paternity. The calculation for Victor in this instance isn’t clear. He could drop the news on Nick at any point. Doing so would create other repercussions and Victor’s likely to want to time that reveal for maximum effect.

Does Victor want to break up ‘Chick’? He may not. So, the ‘Moustache’ could simply make sure the life-altering news somehow made it’s way to his estranged son, while also protecting Chelsea’s reputation.
Yes, Nick Columbo’d Victor’s involvement with Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson). But he should have accepted his father’s explanation and found a way to move forward emotionally.

Nick should have never sabotaged his mother’s concert either. That only further enraged the ‘Black Knight’. Knowing his father’s history of vindictiveness, Nick should have considered the impact on all connected parties, as well as himself and offered forgiveness. He didn’t and that’s a major problem as of this summer in Genoa City.
