The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick Facing More Roadblocks – Victor Teaching Son Cruel Lesson

Nick (Joshua Morrow) doesn’t know that his business plans are being roadblocked on ‘The Young and the Restless’. He thinks that pursuing Noah’s (Robert Adamson) expansion plans is allowing a path to be built away from Victor (Eric Braeden). But many roadblocks will be confronted as he attempts to further an independent future.

Consider for a moment the utter despair Victor emitted when he learned that Adam (Justin Hartley) had been killed in an explosion last September. Choosing to believe that he didn’t rescue Adam, have him rescued, or knew at the time that his son was somehow alive, that ultimate event should have been seared a mark into his soul, right?

Why would a father who lost his son due to the countless acts of aggression that he (Victor) willfully committed then behave in a similar manner toward his surviving son less than a year later? Yes, it is fair to say that the ‘Moustache’ is demented.

Living with that assessment (deny it at one’s peril), Nick recently had a few efforts to further The Underground’s expansion plans blocked. The Newman family portfolio representative was secretly doing Victor’s bidding during that process. So Nick’s bid efforts were sabotaged, rather than explored as he assumed.

Victor’s disavowal of Nick a few weeks ago was real. The Genoa City Athletic Club membership was pulled and the Tack House privilege was revoked. Both moves, The Underground maneuvers and the use of Scott (Daniel Hall) to implement some anti-Nick effects all point to a coming confrontation.

If Victor persists in suffocating Nick’s nightclub expansion plans, Morrow’s character will surely find out about it and respond in some way. Yes, this father and son aren’t close and are getting more distant by the day.
