‘The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Nick And Chelsea’s Relationship Official – Will Fans Approve Of New Couple?

Viewers know more than Nick (Joshua Morrow) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Of course Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Victor (Eric Braeden) do as well. That’s why the green light ‘Chick’ drove through could result in Nick crashing down the road.

Some fans have naturally taken sides. One contingent believes that Chelsea is lying because she’s withholding information about Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) relationship from Nick. They stand emotionally opposed to her being with Nick on those grounds.

Others feel (again, not logic) that Chelsea is in a precarious situation. Adam (Justin Hartley) didn’t want tell Nick that he was actually Christian’s father, but that was before Adam died and Sully reverted to his original name. This group is willing to give ‘Chick’ a chance, hoping (again, not logic) that the truth stays buried.

Nick has been burned in past relationships. Of course those who have sided with Chelsea appear to withhold mention that Nick burned Sharon (Sharon Case) after Cassie (Camryn Grimes) died. Does that mean ‘Chick’ detractors are lying to themselves in order to make a point?

How easy it is to stick one’s nose into other people’s relationships. Surely some viewers have seen what happens in the real world when other people’s good intentions are injected into another couple’s personal business.

That’s what’s nice about this soap, or the other three broadcast network steamers. This form of escapist entertainment allows all people to channel whatever ideas they may have about real life couples into Genoa City.

Withhold the impulse to offer those family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, or whoever else unsolicited advice about their love lives, even if they ask for it. Of course this excludes life-threatening situations.

Therefore, this humble scribe says, “Chelsea, tell Nick what you know right now. Take a chance that whatever feelings you have for him and he for you will overcome his understandable devastation after awhile.” And, “Nick, you’re no saint, but Chelsea is an appealing lady. You’ve properly grieved Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) death and deserve another chance at happiness. Force yourself to see things from Chelsea’s perspective and recognize the vexing situation that she was forced into about Christian.”

Yes, that does feel better. And there are no real world repercussions. Thank you Y&R.
