Victor (Eric Braeden) had another go-round with his wife. Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) told her husband that she had no forgiveness left for him and then seemed ready to collapse in the Newman Towers’ hallway after she left the ‘Moustache’s’ office. Paying Dr. Harris (Ron Melendez) to contain Chloe surely had to be a temporary plan. Victor must have calculated that he was merely buying time with a situation that inevitably had to lead to further trouble, or even disaster. Yet he opted to pursue what has become an untenable situation that will likely create major blowback.

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) remains conflicted in her heart. She knows that Chloe isn’t in her right mind and hasn’t been since Delia (Sophia Pollono) died. Despite the fact that Chelsea believes her frenemy caused Adam’s (formerly played by Justin Hartley) death, remnants of compassion were evidenced when she saw Chloe passed out on the floor of Dr. Harris’ house, with pills strewn beside her.

Nick decided that he was going to play along with the Newman family game, while simultaneously helping Chelsea to pursue justice. There have been past instances where Victor didn’t get away with everything. Consequences resulting from numerous broken relationships, legally forced $500 million payouts to three of his children in the recent past and a stint in jail last year are just some points that can be mentioned to bolster that opinion. The ‘Black Knight’ isn’t invincible, which Nick is once again trying to prove.
