The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lane’s Family Apparently Expanding – Cane Asks Lily For Help

Cane (Daniel) is completely out of sorts on ‘The Young and the Restless’. So much so that he had to ask Lily (Christel Khalil) for advice about what to do about the baby Juliet (Laur Allen) is expecting. She told him that he could not allow Juliet to handle everything on her own as she offered to do and he appeared to be okay with. Digest those last two sentences for a moment and then continue.

Lily remains fully compassionate, despite the trauma Cane has thrust ‘Lane’ into. Credit Y&R with effectively writing Goddard’s character into a dramatic situation that has no easy answers, Khalil’s character’s response to similar one’s spouses have to make when confronted with this unexpected moral dilemma and Allen’s seeming vulnerability with textured flair.

This scribe has noticed that Cane is whispering some of his lines in certain scenes, as detractors have been pointing out. But doesn’t that volume level underscore the emotions of a man whose entire world has been upended through his own actions, if, of course Juliet’s paternity claim bears out long-term?

Cane’s sense of self was shattered. Plus he knows that what he did to Billy (Jason Thompson) in Los Angeles played right into this muddy mix.

So let’s assume that Miss Helton is being truthful about Cane’s biological connection to her child. That comment had to be offered because, as Hilary (Mishael Morgan) knows, Juliet admitted to lying about the validity of the harassment claim.

Now, to be very direct, anyone who questions the believability of this storyline is arguably being too harsh about the suspension of disbelief scenario soap operas ask viewers to accept. Also, how can most people claim that they’ve never been aware of a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker, or some other acquaintance being in a generally similar situation?

Real life details don’t need to be offered by anyone, as the Cane’s and Juliet’s in the world have made mistakes throughout history. To suggest otherwise demonstrates naivete, a memory problem or a denial of known truth.

Cane and Juliet will be parents of a child that’s expected to be born by the time 2018 arrives. ‘Lane’ will surely be challenged to survive in the meantime.

This classic story already includes some soapy twists, but by and large reflects relatable reality. Engaged Y&R viewers will now see how all connected fictional personalities deal with each other during Juliet’s pregnancy.
