The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Kevin Better Off Without Chloe – Drama Is Over

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) is enduring a terrible shock on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But as more time passes he’ll come to realize that he’s far better off without Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) in his life. ‘Khloe’ Part III wasn’t destined to happen and all who care about Kevin can be grateful their third marriage wasn’t realized.

Gloria (Judith Chapman) was suspicious of Chloe’s motives. Unlike others in Kevin’s life, she knew that woman wasn’t right for her son. He’d fought hard to become a productive member of society and a person who his family and friends can count on. Gloria knew that Chloe’s presence could easily wreck that progress.

Chloe just admitted that she blew up the cabin Adam (Justin Hartley) was hiding in last September, thereby apparently killing him. Why would Kevin want to be with someone like that? And then there’s the Bella (Cali May Kinder) matter.

A terrible parent puts a child at risk. An even worse parent abandons a child. Chloe did both. If there was a Worst Mother of the Year award contest, Chloe wouldn’t win the prize. What? Yes, when that award is named in her honor she becomes ineligible.

Y&R viewers will miss the consistent on-screen chemistry that existed between Rikaart and Hendrickson. Both terrific actors brought a visible electricity to the screen after they were paired in the past. Yet another example of how individual talent reaches new levels when the right partner is found.

Kevin appears to be at a much better point in his life now, as compared to when he was forced to deal with the fallout of other debacles. His connections with family members remain solid, Scott (Daniel Hall) appears to be a solid newfound friend and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) remains in his corner. Professionally, he’s established a solid career working for Paul (Doug Davidson) at the Genoa City Police Department.

There’s no argument that Chloe loves Kevin. But she’s obviously far too unstable, needs to be found, confined to a mental health facility and made to make some type of restitution for her crimes. While that process plays out, Kevin can continue to build the stable life he’s created for himself.
