The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Juliet and Jordan Have Momentum – Lane Lifeless in Autumn

Juliet (Laur Allen) is having Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) baby on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) has positioned himself as Lily’s (Christel Khalil) go-to guy. Both side characters clearly have momentum as ‘Lane’s’ run appears to be ending.

The storyline is timeless, but might be tagged as modern by myopic minds. One couple splits, which then enables two new couples to form. Juliet and Jordan can’t be mostly marked as the reason why Cane and Lily are drifting apart. No, the Ashby’s are making their own choices.

The birth of Cane’s third child and the loneliness that he’s feeling is incrementally pushing him toward a romantic bond with Juliet. That’s right, Goddard’s character isn’t just thinking about his coming third child. He’s also connecting with Juliet on an emotional level.

As Jordan has reinforced on a number of occasions, Lily can’t be blamed for what Cane did in Tokyo, Japan, and ever since. Mr. Wilde’s preexisting friendship with Lily made him a natural confidant. He also wasn’t targeting Lily, as his past dive toward Hilary (Mishael Morgan) demonstrated.

It’s been obvious for awhile that Juliet has strong feelings for Cane. She appears to see him not just as the father of her first child, but also as her eventual first husband.

It’s fair to speculate about what might have been. Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) are two good kids. Assume ‘Lane’ never would have used a surrogate and the now-SORAS’d twins didn’t exist.

No children, no extra consideration about staying together. But that part of Lily’s calculation does exist and has, for the time being, prevented the deployment of Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) legal services.

The baby is apparently due around the start of the new year. Juliet will ensure that Cane spends plenty of time with her as that moment nears. Jordan will be available to Lily throughout the fall. Whether the baby is actually Cane’s is another question for a different digital day.
