The rag trade needs advertising. So it generally would be smart to have Chelsea’s creations seen by a syndicated television audience and clicked to by internet eaters across the globe.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) was understandably suspicious of Chelsea’s interest in pursuing Jordan’s idea.

The Newman family’s brutal behind-the-scenes verbal and physical fight was just exploited by the host of the ‘Hilary Hour’. So Nick doesn’t want his potential fiance linked to someone who will most assuredly drag Chelsea’s product through the mud.

Brand identity involves positive connections. Of course people are consuming innuendo and bad news via various modern methods these days. But would seeing Hilary wear a cold shoulder led ensemble create more customers for Chelsea? Sure, but at what long-term cost?

Hilary creates enemies because she doesn’t care about people. She cares about herself. Yes, there is a segment of society that feels the same way and pushes that destructive view upon the world. But Chelsea shouldn’t become one of the willing enablers.

Solid businesses don’t limit themselves to niche markets, or use bad starting points to grow. Hilary draws detractors, narcissists and other rats to her site. Chelsea should aim higher.

Meanwhile, Jordan continues to be surprised by Hilary’s duplicity. This week he learned that his love interest purposely auditioned for the commercial that Lily (Christel Khalil) was trying to get. Hilary did so because she’s amorally competitive and small-minded.

At some point Jordan will either have to separate himself from Hilary, or will be cut loose by Miss me, myself and I. He’ll likely be hurt in either scenario, but at least will be able to move on.

Chelsea should choose to remain disconnected from this person. Yes, she’s lost Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Sharon (Sharon Case) recently. But Chelsea 2.0’s next connection should be upbeat, not one that inevitably leads to the gutter.
