‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Jill Stands To Gain From Jabot’s Dilemma – Clarissa Scandalizes Jack

Jill (Jess Walton) doesn’t know it yet, but she stands to benefit from Jack’s (Peter Bergman) dilemma on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Clarissa, which is Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) cover name, has publicly accused the CEO of Jabot of a crime. That charge will damage Jabot Cosmetics and thus force Jack to raise capital.

Lauren (Tracey Bregman) didn’t consider Jill’s 50 percent stake in Fenmore’s, or her sister’s personal feelings when she solicited a silent partner to invest in their family company.

A cash cow was needed to infuse capital, which was rather shocking considering the apparent reputation of this department store chain. Changing customer demands weren’t addressed in recent years, which led to serious and ongoing profit declines.

After two seemingly interested potential investors snubbed her, Lauren became suspicious. Gloria was the factor behind both deals being thwarted. In the first instance she put doubt into a money man’s mind, who then questioned Lauren’s business practices. The second party switched to a deal with Jabot, after Gloria provided Jack with the particulars of his intent toward Fenmore’s.

When GC Buzz’ exclusive report appears on screens in Genoa City and around the globe Jabot will instantly be thrust into turmoil. Customers, merchants, suppliers and the instantly mobilized worldwide mob will demand answers.

Jack’s personality point is often sharp. However, facing public scrutiny is never easy or perfectly manageable. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) will be among the first to want Mr. Abbott to explain himself. When he does, Jabot’s options will be limited.

Public outrage will grow, confidence will be shaken across the beauty industry and Jack will be left scrambling. Refusing to acknowledge who he was involved with, but wanting to defend himself truthfully will emerge as distasteful rival choices.

Jill will watch everything from side stage, gleeful about her unanticipated opportunity to buy Jack’s recently obtained shares of Fenmore’s at a better than expected price. Completion of that now-needed transaction will make her a majority shareholder in the company, much to Lauren’s surprise.
