The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jack See’s Evidence of Dina’s Condition – Graham Covers It Up

Jack’s (Peter Bergman) plan is working on ‘The Young and the Restless’, though he doesn’t fully realize it yet. The head of Jabot Cosmetics wanted to get to know his mother better. Now that Dina (Marla Adams) accepted a role at Jabot actual evidence is beginning to confirm speculation about out her mental condition.

Dina might simply be ‘getting older’ as those of us who are in a certain age group used to say. That was years before the pharmaceutical industry pushed pills into society and made mega money. It must be noted that more than a few people within the so-called society have also willingly gulped down said drugs in order to create what is, or seems to be a ‘better life’.

Better for who? Jack, Dina, Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Graham (Max Shippee), some or all that were mentioned, or none of the above? That’s hard to say. But bringing Dina into Jabot surely was the right thing to do on many levels.

Jack and Ashley will come to see what their mother’s condition actually is because they’ll see her regularly. But for the moment Graham is using Gloria (Judith Chapman) as an information source. Doing so allowed him to adjust some numbers Dina bollixed in a report she create for Jack. So Graham is only offering temporary cover to Mrs. Mergeron.

Her son wrote off the mistakes as first-day jitters, but they’re actually part of a pattern that’s been seen since the reunited Abbott family ate dinner together shortly after Dina’s return to Genoa City. Ashley was right in thinking Dina was depressed due to her retirement. But many believe that Adams’ character is also dealing with the early stages of dementia.

Despite the fact that Graham will be awarded the bulk of Dina’s estate in her newly revised will, he might be a good guy. It’s possible that he’s genuinely looking out for a woman he sees as a mother figure. Though that part of this satisfying storyline is certain to be confirmed in time as well.
