‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Jack Must Be Careful – Gloria Is A Troublemaker

Yes, Gloria (Judith Chapman) told Jack (Peter Bergman) the truth on ‘The Young and the Restless’. She values his business acumen and believes that he can help to save Fenmore’s. However, as Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told him later, being involved with Gloria is “much worse” than working with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni). So Jack better be careful because his former mother-in-law has an extensive track record that’s often been disruptive.

Gloria is actually looking out for Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and her company. She knows how dire Fenmore’s financial situation is. So she’s attempting to force her daughter-in-law’s hand by somehow orchestrating a deal with Jabot. But going behind Lauren’s back is certain to cause strife.

Michael (Christian LeBlanc) is onto Gloria’s game. After speaking with his mother in his apartment he suspected that she was up to something and was trying to pry information out of him. He’ll certainly ask Lauren why Gloria learned of her plight first, after which mom might tell him that she forced Lauren to come clean to him.

As for good old Jackie-boy; Setting aside old grievances isn’t something the head of Jabot likes to do. In this instance, working with a woman who he feels took advantage of his father at the end of his life is indigestible. However, Jack is in the midst of a personal rebound and all business options remain open. Yes, even working with ‘Glo’.

Gloria might be trying to play Jack straight out. Setting him up for some type of fall from the start. But then again, maybe not? She could be sincere about wanting Jack to help pull Fenmore’s back from the abyss.

If Jack does obtain, or partner with Lauren’s family business he will likely give Gloria give a crumb position. That opening will be all she needs to wreak havoc in some as yet unknown way. Viewers will surely delight in whatever plays out, as Bergman and Chapman are great actors and superb in-character foils.
