The Young and The Restless Spoilers: Jack and Ashley’s Mom Is Back With A New Man By Her Side

On “The Young and the Restless,” expect Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) to get a surprise visit from mommy dearest and her, um, much younger “business associate!”

Eternally youthful Dina Mergeron is impossibly beautiful and forever glamorous, just like the talented actress who brings her to life, Marla Adams! Marla has portrayed the former wife of business titan John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) for several decades. Her on and off role last saw her in town in 2008 for the funeral of Katherine Chancellor (the late, great Jeanne Cooper). Katherine wasn’t really the one in the casket, but that’s another story for another time!

Having Marla bring her alter ego back to Genoa City is always a treat to look forward to, even though soap fans haven’t entirely been without her presence through the years. In addition to Y&R the veteran actress has graced several soaps, including, “Capitol,” “General Hospital,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and, “Days of Our Lives.”

Loyal viewers will get their first glimpse of Dina on May 3, when she sidles into town with a certain someone. Hmm, will the ever-protective Jack and Ash like their mom’s new friend? That remains to be seen!

Max Shippee portrays Dina’s business companion, Graham Bloodworth. Did I mention that he’s drop dead gorgeous as well as a savvy businessman? No doubt, the question on everyone’s lips will be: “just what exactly is going on between these two?” (Something deliciously licentious, I hope!)

Shippee is known for his movie and television work, including “Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous,” with Sandra Bullock, and appearances in “Hot in Cleveland,” “Rosewood,” and “Major Crimes.”
