‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary’s Refuses To Relinquish Her Legal Rights – Devon Rightfully Suspicious

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) seemed genuine on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The current Mrs. Hamilton told Devon (Bryton James) that she wouldn’t contest the divorce he wanted and also didn’t want a monetary settlement. Then, she ripped his $250 million check into pieces this week when Devon offered it to her. However, Hilary’s refusal to sign the legal document that Michael (Christian LeBlanc) drafted naturally makes her current husband suspicious.

Claiming that she’s not a gold-digger with added vitriol doesn’t mean much if Hilary doesn’t follow through and sign that legal document. Considering Devon’s apparent $2-plus billion total net worth, legal papers that allow Hilary to permanently relinquish all rights to any portion of that dough are surely well-founded. Devon simply wants to protect himself from any possible future surprise.

While Hilary’s initial reaction was believable and may be genuine, any outright refusal to legally acknowledge that this breakup won’t involve financial gain must reveal something. What that something is should soon be known.

Any coming scenes where Hilary is seen seeking legal counsel will almost assuredly lead to some type of mediated negotiation, if not an outright divorce court battle. If she does truly love her man, than Hilary will sign the white legal papers that were contained inside the blue fold over. Doing might make Devon continue to question whether he is, in fact wrong about his wife’s intentions.

‘Hevon’ isn’t over yet. While Devon certainly loved and may still love his wife, Hilary’s intent from the get-go can’t be known. Is it possible that she has always been in love with him and also still loves his money?

Kudos to James and Morgan for having meshed well together. This sharp, young super couple has endured for awhile, but might soon be departing. If that proves to be true, Y&R won’t necessarily extinguish this flame.

Long-time soap opera devotees know that soul mates can attempt to go their own ways, but always be put back together again. And, in this instance, Devon is keeping Hilary at GC Buzz, which could keep both characters in each other’s face indefinitely.
