The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary Won't Let Jordan Go – Devon Might Be Out of Reach

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) didn’t want to let Devon (Bryton James) go on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But she eventually relented and gave him a relatively smooth divorce, only taking GC Buzz in the settlement. Her freedom now means that she won’t let Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) slip away.

As for Kirkwood, he’s proven to be a smart hire. Y&R has retained a solid actor whose character quickly blended into Genoa City. Good writing and Kirkwood’s talent made that happen.

Seeing Hilary coming out of her old condominium wasn’t an issue for Jordan. However, hearing what she said to Devon was a major problem and potentially, a relationship killer. Jordan’s view of Hilary was unexpectedly shifted.

Hilary later tried to play off what she’d volunteered to her ex-husband about Jordan, but he didn’t buy it. After trying to distract him, Jordan told the woman who he thought he was forming a meaningful connection with how he felt. For the time being, he was going to walk away. Hilary was advised to only contact him after she’d resolved the feelings that she obviously still has for Devon.

Devon hasn’t fully moved past ‘Hevon’ either, but he appears to be sincerely interested in Mariah (Camryn Grimes). That couple is cute. With heels, Mariah is actually a bit taller than Devon. Standing a bit taller than Hilary proved to be helpful when those two internet show hosts recently tussled.

The dust up that took place between Hilary and Mariah was a long time coming. Clearly a soapy setup, there’s no way someone with Hilary’s demeanor would allow Mariah to continue working for her. Oh yes, as part of ‘Hevon’s’ divorce settlement she can’t fire Mariah for a year. However, Grimes’ character could always quit and join the newly formed Hamilton-Winters corporation.

Jordan has options, but he’s strongly attracted to Hilary. So he’ll likely reconnect with her in the near future. Devon offered him wise advice recently. But just like Jordan told Lily (Christel Khalil), he wants to make his own judgment about Hilary. Viewers know what eventually happened to both Devon and Neil (Kristoff St. John) when they initially took the same stance.
