The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary Using Cane and Devon – Hevon Hopes Reignited

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) knows how Devon (Bryton James) thinks on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Playing off his love for Lily (Christel Khalil), Hilary used Devon as a weapon in a two-pronged assault. But savvy fans can see that she has also been using Cane (Daniel Goddard) as part of a longtime, flexible plan.

Here’s how Hilary plays games – She recently told Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that she wants Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood). However, all Y&R viewers know that if given the option, she would marry Devon again.

So when Hilary learned that Jordan had dinner at the Ashby household and actually sat in Cane’s seat while doing so, her strategy deepened. Hilary made sure to inform Cane what happened, which led him to confront Jordan at the Genoa City Athletic Club Gym.

Later, Hilary told Devon how Jordan had been capitalizing on Lily’s marital problems. In the recent past, Hilary played the victim card, falsely claiming to have been wronged by Jordan. Kirkwood’s character had broken up with her for reasons that were as much about Hilary’s personality flaws as they were his developing feelings for Lily.

Devon wasn’t thinking straight when he told Jordan to stay out of his sister’s life. If he had stepped back, Devon may have realized the game Hilary was using him as part of her breakup battle.

Hilary chose to share snippets of information with Cane and Devon because doing so suited her purposes. She’s retaliating against Jordan for ending their relationship. She hopes those efforts result in Lily eventually reconciling with Cane.

Of course, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) also needs to be separated from Devon if ‘Hevon’ is to live again. But that’s another story for another digital day. In the meantime, Hilary continues to play her games.
