‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary Temporarily Saves Jack’s Reputation – Gloria Still Punching Hard

Jack (Peter Bergman) knows that he made a big mistake on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) warned her brother not to be involved with Gloria (Judith Chapman) for any reason, but he wouldn’t listen. Fast-forward to now and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has temporarily saved her mentor’s reputation, But Jack’s revived nemesis isn’t likely to relent.

Gloria tried to figuratively punch Jack in the mouth. Her frontal assault would have worked if Hilary hadn’t declared technical difficulties during Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) prepared GC Buzz piece. While Gloria’s identity was being protected, Jack’s name was about to be thrust into the worldwide court of public opinion.

Hilary is feisty fighter herself and that specific character trait caused Devon (Bryton James) to tell his wife to seek out the other side of this explosive story. So she bee-lined over to her still-husband’s Genoa City Athletic Club, apparently having tracked Jack down via exchanged text messages.

Jack thanked the woman who twice kissed him, which came during past periods of confusion for Morgan’s character. Obviously she’s attracted to this gentleman who’s twice her age, but that chemistry issue wasn’t the leading reason why Hilary wants to give Jack a chance to state his case.

Mrs. Hamilton has done her homework. She’s aware of the tense personal history that exists between Gloria and Jack, as it relates to John (Jerry Douglas) and other matters. While she was surprised to learn that he recently found himself in an unexpected position with his late father’s two-time wife, Hilary also had her suspicions confirmed regarding Gloria’s duplicitous claims.

Jack has come around to the belief that he owes Gloria compensation for her efforts that led to Jabot’s business arrangement with Fenmore’s. He told her as much in the GCAC lobby, but she’s still feeling scorned. Yes, Jackie-boy better hope that this widow is open to some type of negotiated settlement. He could be hit again if she’s not and that punch could knockout Jabot.
