The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary Fails To Sell It – Lily Lets Jordan In

Well, ‘Lane’ is about to enter divorce proceedings on ‘The Young and the Restless’. That’s not good news for Hilary (Mishael Morgan). But it is for Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), who appears to have handled this situation wisely.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) was sincere about wanting to save his family. He tried his best to maintain a connection with his children and offered Lily (Christel Khalil) time and space. But what happened with Juliet (Laur Allen) on the Brash and Sassy business trip earlier this year proved to be too much to overcome.

Hilary attempted to bond with Cane recently. Her intent was obvious. She wanted him to fix his relationship with Lily so Jordan would be available.

That strategy seemed like a longshot on Hilary’s part because Jordan recently broke up with her. Yes, he found her attractive, but came to distrust her. Most importantly, Lily now occupied a place in his heart.

Lily truly tried to forgive Cane. She was initially willing to accept that Juliet was going to have his child. Circumstances that created Cane’s soon-to-arrive second son were seen as manipulative, on Juliet’s part. So, Lily bucked up and stood by her man, at first.

The revelation that Cane had purposely sabotaged Billy’s (Jason Thompson) DARE commercial shoot proved to be a deal-breaker. Cane having tapped the twins’ school account reminded Lily just how duplicitous Mr. Ashby had been in the past.

Meeting with a marriage counselor was something Cane pushed for. Hilary believed it represented hopeful progress. Jordan remained around, offering a comfortable shoulder for Lily to lean on.

Lily quickly came to realize that the counseling session served to crystallize her feelings. She could no longer trust Cane and so Michael (Christian Le Blanc) was called to the former Ashby family home. Michael carried the devastating news to Cane later that day.

Hilary tried to sell a plan that was doomed to fail. She remains out in the cold, along with Cane. The people both are interested are now together. And then there’s Juliet and the baby, as well.
