The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary Appears Regretful – Devon Remains Vulnerable To Ex-Wife

The issue was never whether Hilary (Mishael Morgan) loved Devon (Bryton James) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Instead, it was the manner in which she lived her life and the resulting consequences that fell upon those who she was personally linked to, most importantly Mr. Hamilton.

It hasn’t been that long since ‘Hevon’ officially decided to part and then divorced. Devon’s interest has since been taken by someone who must be called a meaningful friend at this point. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is an honest soul, but she’s not Devon’s soul mate.

Hilary latched onto Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood). He was warned by Lily (Christel Khalil), Devon and others to be leery of the ‘Hilary Hour’ host. Jordan’s a straightforward person and told everyone that he planned to give Miss Curtis a chance.

Well, Jordan did that and wasn’t burned. However, he’s already seen the impact that Hilary has had on ‘Lane’s’ life through the lawsuit she vigorously encouraged Juliet (Laur Allen) to pursue. So Jordan might actually be done with Hilary, though time will tell.

Jordan’s decision made Hilary reconsider her actions. It could also be that she’s just momentarily reflecting and will return to full court press mode shortly. Her implied emotional whims actually appear to reconfirm a significant personality disorder. Yes, Hilary should obviously seek mental health treatment instead of continuing to repeat her destructive patterns.

It doesn’t seem possible that GC Buzz will ignore whatever plays out regarding Juliet’s legal claim against Cane (Daniel Goddard). Plus, Hilary can’t possibly allow Brash and Sassy to skate free even if Juliet settles. She’s also often unable to control herself where Lily and Cane are concerned. And, her ongoing recent assaults against the Ashby family affects her ex-husband as well.

And so Devon is taking everything in, again. He remains vulnerable to Hilary’s situation because he cares deeply for her. Logically, his decision to part was right. But matters of the heart often give loved ones many additional chances. That’s true in soap and in real life.
