“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Wednesday, January 4, tease that Stitch (Sean Carrigan) will offer reassurance to Hilary (Mishael Morgan). At the hospital, Stitch notes that Devon (Bryton James) is stable. He’s still in critical condition, but Stitch thinks it’s fine if Hilary wants to shower and rest at home.
Hilary refuses to leave Devon’s side. She discusses her guilt, but Stitch once again encourages Hilary to get out of there for a while. Hilary eventually caves in. Across town, Jack (Peter Bergman) runs into Billy (Jason Thompson) as they’re heading into Jabot. He insists that Brash and Sassy is going will be destroyed by the competition. Jack adds that Billy will mess up like he always does.
In Jack’s office, Abby (Melissa Ordway) jokes around with Ashley (Eileen Davidson). She mentions the kiss Ravi (Abhi Sinha) gave Ash on New Year’s Eve. Ashley suggests she’ll have to talk to Ravi about that. Abby notes that she’s moving forward as Jack enters. He hints that he’s doing the same thing. Jack contends that he’s truly free since Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) left the company.

Jack brings up Fenmore’s and how their sales tanked during the holidays. He feels like it’s time to make their move. Ashley isn’t sure, but Jack is positive. While they’re arguing, Ravi appears. Jack leaves them to talk and Ashley mentions what happened at the gala. Ravi apologizes and turns in a letter of resignation.
Ashley takes the letter and tears it up. She doesn’t think it was anything that serious. As Ashley heads to a meeting, Ravi urges her to have fun. He looks annoyed with himself for being so bungling their interaction.
At Brash and Sassy, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) gives Billy the news that JT (Thad Luckinbell) is letting Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) stay. She hints that JT is glad to be handing off his problem. Reed has gotten into some trouble lately. Billy feels like he can help Victoria adjust to having a teen around.
Reed comes in and Victoria brings up his interest in baseball. She’s surprised to hear he doesn’t like it anymore. Victoria discovers that Reed is now all about music. After Reed leaves for school, Victoria opens up to Billy. She hates that she doesn’t know her son very well. Billy thinks it’s good that Victoria wants to connect. She decides this will be quite an adventure.

In the park, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) gets updates by phone and seems upset. When Phyllis arrives, Lauren asks her to move fast on the new platform. Phyllis suggests that Lauren should calm down. She feels like she can turn things around for Fenmore’s. They head to the athletic club and Phyllis explains her ideas. Lauren is impressed and feels confident they can swing the financing.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) shows up at the police station and grills Paul (Doug Davidson) about Dylan’s (Steve Burton) assignment. Paul confesses that Dylan won’t be able to get in touch with her. Nikki worries about how dangerous this mission is, but Paul believes it might help Dylan deal with his issues.
After Nikki exits, Paul talks to Christine (Laralee Bell). He fears that he may have made a mistake by letting Dylan take this case. Later, Paul gets a text that’s in code. He tells Christine that Dylan made it to Miami. Back at the club, Nikki offers her gratitude to Jack. She’s happy that Jack called off Brash and Sassy’s eviction. Jack points out that it’s the last time he’ll cut them a break.
Nikki spots Phyllis nearby and rants about how much she hurt Jack. He contends that he’s on a new path and he’s feeling better than ever. Meanwhile, Lauren observes Phyllis’ efforts to evade Jack’s gaze. Phyllis admits that she made everything worse by trying to repair her marriage.
“The Young and the Restless” fans will be anxious to see what’s next for Phyllis. Will she find a new love interest or simply focus on her career? Y&R rumors hint that some major drama could soon throw Phyllis for a loop. Stay tuned for the twists and turns ahead.
