The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Dina’s Only Out is Graham’s Paternity – Bloodworth A Mergeron Link?

Assume for a moment that Graham (Max Shippee) isn’t digging for gold on ‘The Young and the Restless’. One family fact could enable vindication. Based on his last name, Bloodworth could be one of Dina’s (Marla Adams) late husband’s relatives.

It might be too easy to assume that Graham is Dina’s biological child, through her late corporate mogul husband. If that were the case wouldn’t he be calling himself Graham Mergeron?

Pursing other options, Graham could be Mr. Mergeron’s stepson, or his nephew. Viewers know that Dina met Graham more than a year ago and that he quickly became her companion. She seems like the type of measured personality who wouldn’t have glammed onto just anyone. That’s why some type of family, or more personal connection would seem to make sense.

Logically pursuing this matter further, Dina would have listened to Graham’s advice about selling Mergeron and more recently, in deciding to leave him the bulk of her estate in the will. While she is sincerely interested in a full reunion with her children, it would make sense to think that Dina has withheld Graham’s actual backstory for this type of unexplained reason. This explanation would also underscore the many references these characters seemed to have made to each other about their connection.

While Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) are still hoping their mother comes to her senses, any type of personal tie she may actually have to Graham would surely complicate matters. Now that her will was legally changed, a court battle could ensue regardless of any further adjustments that take place.

Dina may not be of fully sound mind at the moment. A judge could surely rule in favor or Graham, or against him depending upon subjective law interpretation if that issue is ever challenged by anyone.

Jack prides himself on being able to ferret information out of anyone. So he’ll need to rely on that skill in an attempt to determine if a family factor is in play.

Maybe Graham isn’t greedy, as this scribe has recently suggested. Since Dina and the Abbott children are giving each other the benefit of the doubt, then Mr. Bloodworth deserves one as well. At least for now.
