The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Devon Cares For Mariah – Jordan Knows Hilary Used Him

Devon (Bryton James) is an honest person on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The only egregious personal mistake he willingly made in recent years involved betraying Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) trust. Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) influence affected Devon’s free will in that instance. But Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) isn’t fully under Hilary’s spell (yet), which is why he cut her loose this week.

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) had an initial friendship with Devon. Now that his marriage is over, they’ve developing their connection into a romantic relationship. Devon actually cares for Mariah and doesn’t appear to be using her as a rebound pawn. Miss Copeland’s feelings are also honest.

Good timing allowed Jordan to be coming out of Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) condominium as Hilary was slinking out of the former ‘Hevon’ home across the hallway. Mr. Wilde overheard his assumed love interest discussing their recent romantic relations with her ex-husband. That latest bit of bragging informed Jordan where he stood on Hilary’s chess board.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Devon Cares For Mariah – Jordan Knows Hilary Used Him

Hilary had a rough childhood, which isn’t a point of contention. But after she grew up Hilary chose to target Neil for the death of her mother. She later married the man after learning that he wasn’t responsible for that tragedy. The connection with Devon came later. Their journey to the altar, Hilary’s honeymoon fall and a plethora of other junk followed before this couple’s recent break.

Divorcing Mr. Hamilton afforded Hilary an opportunity to break her cycle of self-sabotage. At first that seemed to have happened. Hilary only asked for and received GC Buzz in the divorce settlement. Then, she unexpectedly and dramatically took full blame for ‘Hevon’s’ demise on a recent episode of the ‘Hilary Hour’.

Moving on to Jordan appeared to at least allow Hilary’s focus to shift beyond Devon. But it does seem like this new man is just an extension of her inner thoughts. Hilary’s self-reveal temporarily pushed Jordan away, which means she doesn’t have anyone to focus on. That likely spells big trouble in Genoa City this May.
