The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Colin To Help Cane – Juliet Problem Attacked From Another Angle

Colin’s (Tristan Rogers) return to Genoa City was welcomed by Cane (Daniel Goddard) on ‘The Young and the Restless’. It’s funny how fictional life flows, as hardcore Y&R fans are well aware that Cane has never been close with his father. But as most parents come to understand, their children often need them throughout their entire lives and Cane needs his dad more than ever right now.

Cane’s current problem was partially self-inflicted. Initially he and Juliet (Laur Allen) shared equal halves of the blame. However responsibility shifted the moment she filed a false harassment claim against Brash and Sassy.

After flying home from Tokyo, Juliet told Cane what happened in his hotel room. She was actually the one talking him down, as he was devastated and in denial. Then Cane’s own actions forced his life to swerve in a direction that it should never have gone.

Colin’s ability to out think a con will be relied upon in coming weeks. However, Mr. Atkinson’s, um, career experience may also be called upon when it comes to the matters surrounding the ill-fated DARE shoot.

Viewers recall that Cane recklessly sabotaged Billy (Jason Thompson) in Los Angeles. Cane paid a videographer to follow Billy wherever he went and then to digitally splice behind-the-scenes footage that made it look like he was encouraging Professional Hockey League players to gamble on the Final.

Vickie eventually opted to fire Juliet because she hadn’t obtained proper clearance from the PHL (which is Y&R’s wink at the National Hockey League, NHL). That act set Juliet off, caused Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to stick her fingers into ‘Lane’s’ eyes once again and created the current lawsuit.

Whether Colin can help Cane with his legal troubles and more importantly, to maintain his marriage with Lily (Christel Khalil) and relationship with the twins remains to be seen. But the same dad who Cane often derided has now become his main confidant. Some viewers might even see a glimpse of their own lives within elements of this soapy story as well.
