The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chloe’s Letter Crushes Kevin’s Soul – Gloria Was Right

Kevin (Greg Rikaart) believed that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had recovered on ‘The Young and the Restless’. But hidden secrets proved him very wrong. Gloria (Judith Chapman) has been trying to protect her cub from the Chloe monster since returning to town. While Kevin’s mother has been rebuked by everyone, she’s now been undeniably vindicated.

Of course Gloria’s reputation makes nearly anything she says worthy of suspicion. So Kevin, Michael (Christian Le Blanc), Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and others can’t be fully blamed for stifling Gloria’s misgivings about her two-time ex-daughter-in-law. However, everyone who totally disregarded all calls to action would be wise to tell Gloria that she was right at some point in the near future. And after that they might also try not instantly casting off her feelings in the future as well.

The intended remarriage between Kevin and Chloe was based on some good intentions. Chloe resisted Kevin’s initial attempts to get back together after she’d returned to Genoa City last year. She also didn’t pretend that Bella (Cali May Kinder) was his child in order to trap him and also hasn’t revealed her second-born daughter’s paternity either. Yet, Chloe knows that Kevin is her soul mate and she believed that being his wife again would afford her daughter a better chance in life.

After their marriage ceremony went south and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) fell over, Chloe made time to write Kevin a message. She left her note on top of the dresser in the room where she once lived in the Chancellor mansion. Soap plotting allowed Kevin to quickly spot the card and read it while he and Father Todd (Corbin Bernsen) were trying to determine where Chloe was.

Michael entered the room shortly thereafter and allowed his little brother to cry on his shoulder. Rikaart’s nuanced portrayal of Kevin proved once again why he’s a great actor as the scene played out. As the brothers embraced viewers were left to wonder how, or if Mr. Fisher will handle this most recent ‘Khloe’ disaster.
