This could be a red herring, but it appears as though Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) was the person who wore black gloves last September on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Who would wear winter gloves in Wisconsin in the summer? Someone who didn’t want to put fingerprints on Adam’s (Justin Hartley) wedding ring.

Flashback to the second Adam era, which was when two actors wore his face. The last person to do so was Hartley and as his write-out was occurring Y&R established a vexing mystery that has stretched through spring 2017. Who caused Adam to apparently die in a cabin explosion, or is he still alive somewhere?
Viewers already know that Chloe arrived at the cabin while Adam was waiting for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). She had a dart gun with her that she used to shoot Adam, rendering him unconscious. Her plan was to thwart ‘Chadam’s’ escape plan.
However, fans weren’t shown how Chloe escaped the cabin. Instead they’ve seen her vivid memories of the building exploding, which imply that she was somewhere nearby as that happened. So how does that connect to her black gloves?
Someone wearing black gloves held Adam’s wedding ring a short while after the preceding events unfolded. That person then placed the ring inside a top dresser drawer at an unknown location. Whether that person was Chloe hasn’t been revealed, but a current clue certainly points to her.
After accepting Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) marriage proposal, Chloe went to see Chelsea. The current Miss Mitchell took off her black leather gloves and showed ‘Chick’ her engagement ring.
Chloe didn’t expect Nick to be at the penthouse when she arrived, but he was. She also didn’t anticipate that Nick would have found the tracking device she previously hid inside Connor’s favorite plush toy.

After initially denying that she knew about the tracking device, Chloe changed strategy and admitted to having planted it. She explained her actions as having been protective of her best friend and wanting to alert Chelsea if the police learned that ‘Chadam’ was at the cabin. That thin answer raised ‘Chick’s’ suspicions.
Chloe’s black leather gloves also surely make fans wonder if she was the person who hid Adam’s wedding ring more than six months ago. And, why would she have done so?
