Each tenured Genoa City character already achieved lasting status. Their combined talents, as seen via ‘Khloe’, also helped to create one of the most dynamic couples in recent Y&R history.

Y&R Star Greg Rikaart News and Updates

Earlier iterations of this duo were more crime oriented, whereas the spring and summer of 2017 version of this couple has mostly been serious. Reflective of the growth this pair nearly achieved, Chloe was set to marry Kevin at the Chancellor mansion before soapy fate intervened.

Imagine if both actors were staying instead. Would Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) have accidentally found Adam’s (Justin Hartley) wedding ring? Probably not. Of course that makes viewers wonder if the well-known ‘Khloe’ patterns would therefore have repeated alternatively?

Chloe will be protected if Esther (Kate Linder) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc) learn that she’s alive. They care about the woman Kevin has loved since Jana (Emily O’Brien) died. Those who know his late wife are likely Y&R loyalists and therefore share this scribe’s feeling that Hendrickson and Rikaart are due sharply written final bows.

Rikaart’s debut came in 2003, Hendrickson’s arrived five years later. It took awhile, but when paired these talented players created scores of memorable scenes.

With all due respect to Ron Melendez, Vincent Price would have been the best casting choice to play Dr. Harris if he were still alive. Yes, Chloe’s resurrection, staged with her hand pushing open the casket, represented high camp that matches Hendrickson’s alter ego perfectly.

Hopefully Y&R fans are about to witness a delicious and deliverable final ride. In this instance, each exiting actor would have left with a complete body of work that is individually commendable and collaboratively terrific.
