The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chick Doomed From The Start – Chelsea’s Secret Will Ruin Budding Relationship With Nick

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers have fans of Chick – Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) on the edge of their seats, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Chelsea and Nick have been flirting with the idea of becoming a couple for a while now.  Chelsea’s husband, Adam Newman (Justin Hartley) died in a cabin explosion in September 2016 and weeks later, Nick’s wife, Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) died in a horrific car accident.

Both felt they were not ready to move on, but after sharing a kiss on New Year’s Eve, things seemed to fall into place, when they both found comfort in each other.  The problem is The Young and the Restless’ Chelsea Newman is hiding a massive secret from Nick; one he will have a hard time accepting, if he doesn’t freak out first.  

Y&R’s Nick Newman is not a saint, nor can he claim to be, but if the truth comes out that Chelsea and his father, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) knew the entire time that his son, Christian is actually Adam’s son; where will that leave his budding relationship with Chelsea, and could he really forgive her for hiding it for this long? 

Fans have to wonder if Chelsea is doing the right thing by withholding the truth.  The paternity lie has destroyed so many people, including Sharon’s (Sharon Case) marriage to his half-brother, Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton).  Yes, Sharon hid the truth about Sully actually being Christian, but she had no idea he was Adam’s biological son.

There have been many lies about this little boy, Christian in Genoa City, and even though Chelsea has come to peace with it; thanks to Adam and Nick’s father, Victor telling her that when Adam was still alive, he made it clear that he would abide by Sage’s wishes and never reveal the truth.  She may be the one who makes the ultimate sacrifice, because if there is one lie Nick will not tolerate, it will be one regarding his children.
