The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea’s Sympathy For Chloe Overcomes Rage – Did She Make The Right Choice?

All it took for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) to change her mind was finding a picture on her smartphone of Bella (Cali May Kinder) with her mom on ‘The Young and the Restless’. After learning earlier in the day that Adam (Justin Hartley) was apparently killed by her best friend, Chelsea intended to tell all to GC Buzz. But Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) request for a photo of Chloe served to shake Chelsea’s soul.

The shift caused Chelsea to look directly into the camera and plead with Chloe to turn herself in. No scorn was projected to the website’s viewers. Instead a plea that likely elicited praise from audience members who are also kind-hearted.

Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) is all that Chelsea thinks she has left of Adam. Well, there is also the wedding ring that she just found in Chloe’s old bedroom dresser drawer at the Chancellor mansion. But speaking about what truly matters, her son remains the joy of Chelsea’s life. She knows the same is true for Chloe no matter what she did last September.

Chelsea naturally feels totally betrayed by the woman who convinced her that she was well. But Chloe never dealt with her feelings about Adam. She believes, as did the man himself, that he accidentally killed Delia (Sophie Pollono) on that fated October night in 2013. Yes, it’s been more than three years since Michael Muhney delivered those incredible scenes and then was cut from the cast.

Hendrickson once noted that Y&R cut some of the scenes she’d filmed at the Genoa City Memorial Hospital set where Delia’s limp body laid. Those outtakes must be as raw as she stated. Hendrickson’s greatest work in her daytime career may have been delivered during this extended arc for sure.

Hartley’s hire proved to be solid. Y&R’s scripts and his talent took Adam in a softer direction. But now that man, along with the outstanding actor who portrayed a tortured soul appears to be gone as well. That’s why the write-out for Chloe was done right now.
