The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Chelsea’s Secrets Deepen – Nick Pushed Off Again

Another secret was revealed on ‘The Young and the Restless’. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) share a past connection when both characters were scammers. While that secret will likely cause far less damage when it’s inevitably exposed in the future, its existence does add to Chelsea’s checkered personal history.

Y&R viewers are waiting for the ultimate bomb to drop on Nick (Joshua Morrow). Chelsea knows that Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), who’s clearly being well-fed by his dad, is actually Adam’s (Justin Hartley) genetic offspring. Whenever and however that big reveal occurs is unknown. When it happens lives will definitely be impacted.

Nick doesn’t handle betrayal well. What Newman family member does? So he’ll surely lash out at Chelsea the instant he becomes aware of this powerful information.

At the same time he might be forced to relinquish the boy he initially believed was his nephew (through Dylan, Steve Burton) to Chelsea, who is Christian’s step-mother. Of course, Nick will be expected to lawyer-up when that storyline contortion plays out.

Jordan advised a few weeks ago that he was forced to work various photography jobs in the past that he wouldn’t put on his resume. An easy assumption then places his current position at Brash and Sassy in future jeopardy because of Vickie’s blood tie to Nick.

However, viewers don’t know if Chelsea and Jordan actually did anything that would change the perceptions of any current Genoa City resident. Possibly their career indiscretions were money-driven, rather than criminal? Then again, even if each person gained a rap sheet for their combined actions, it’s possible that their romantic interests (Nick and Hilary, Mishael Morgan) won’t care.

Soap opera scripts can often tie past issues to current dilemmas. So viewers might be wondering if this exposed tie between Chelsea and Jordan will somehow lead to the more crucial Christian issue being exposed? That’s the main plot point to be developed this spring and summer.
